Bucharest Artist tour - bodies, glass, wild artists and wild pigs

Started the day with the Human Body show...the controversial exhibit that has gone around the world...

...the Romanian version was very educational, but had a few unbelievable figures.

Lunch at the museum terrace restaurant....no words needed....

We then headed over to the Old City which is in transition from a state of ruin not three years ago....

...to a vibrant and totally renovated cultural and entertainment centre...

The first artist on tour was a glass artist....very versatile...sculptures, painted glass, blown glass..

The second stop was an exhibition in a wood furniture showroom.....the woodwork in particular was very impressive and an example of the upscale furnishings in demand by the nouveau riche in Romania...

More walking in the Old City....

Until we arrived at the showroom of Vasile.....the wild painter...

A passionate man, whose flow of words was as extensive and colourful as his 150 paintings on display, he entertained us for a full hour, totally in Romanian. Danielle, the translator, had difficulty keeping up, Bibi got a headache from the รถ verbal and visual overload.

The final stop was a cook with a fine food store, a tv chef....here Bibi was in her element, we got to taste all manner of delicacies and even had a plate packed up to take home.....what a day!
